Biri Island - Rock Islands in the Pacific Ocean

The Balicuatro Islands with the main island of Biri are situated infront of Lavezares in the Pacific Ocean. Bangkas are leaving from Lavezares harbour, and the trip to Biri takes approximately two hours and may also get a bit rough. After arrival on Biri Island, you may get a motorbike rider to take you to theother side of the island, or you can walk the distance yourself. On theother side, with view on the Pacific Ocean and rock islands, the visitors may cool their feet and still walk on.

The view from the rocks does not really remind of the troics, but the trees at the slopes are really coconut trees, and on the slopes there are carabaos.

The waves of the Pacific Ocean hit the rock hard and high, and in between the rock islands, small ponds have formed, in which salt is settling and which can also be used for a relaxing bath.

The strange structure of the rocks is a topic of discussion for scientists. My theory is that the rocks are part of an eruption of Bulusan Volcano 50kms away, but there is no proof. Thus, the rock islands of Biri remain a miracle, as the story of the white woman shows, which is sitting on the rock, singing and distracting fishermen...
