And then the way along the western shore of the bay, however, almost without bay. First there are houses blocking the sight, and then fish- and crab ponds, so that the bay almost can't be seen. However, the footwalker can get other beautiful impressions in the Philippine everyday life instead, and is stared at all the time, as footwalkers are rather unusual here.

Below and to the right the local cockput, also a centre of town, most of all for those guys nearer to their cocks than to god, and there are many of those... It is interesting to visit such a cockfight, even if you do not like such a bloody spectacle. Around the cockpit, there is a training camp where the cocks are made sharp for their fights.

Above the first view of Lavezares Bay coming from Allen, passing over the hill separating Allen and Lavezares. I have tried to get this view on picture without a tree standing infront, but somehow the trees thought they had to stand there. However, as a coconut tree fanatic, I am bound to think that the trees are right...

This boy is getting a haircut (above), a quite typical scene in the rural Philippines. Below a hut in between fish ponds.

To the west of the town centre, a park is in construction on a steep hill offering a beautiful view of bay and town, a project by a religions centre with or without connections to catholic church - you can never fully understand those things in the Philippines. The colleague below is really proud of being part of the project...

Above to the right a boat near the bridge over the river. Directly after the river, I am turning to the left. After passing a poor street, I find myself at a wonderful beach.

Below the view back to town in its full breadth. Turning right around the bend, I find myself surrounded by mangroves, and the view out to sea shows the islands in the ocean. On theother side of the bay, the view shows the Bulusan Volcano, a view you almost can't and also don't want to escape while staying in Lavezares.
