Urdaneta Bay

A rather unconspicious hill with a mobile phone station on it - a blessing for the people of Lavezares, which up to then had almost been cut off from the world with no telephone - and from the hill, you have a wonderful view in all directions...

to the surrounding forest (above to the right) and naturally on Urdaneta Bay (above), which follows Lavezares Bay to the east and also belongs to Lavezares Town. Here is our place by the sea, where some distant day we will build our holiday home. In the moment, however, all buildings are damaged by a typhoon and the place looks a little run down - but it is still beautiful, and the bay does not go away...

View from the eastern shore to Bulusan Volcano in the distance showing itself clearly that day - but not for long, and the volcano was covered by clouds again.

Some more pictures in the evening sun - it was not necessary to play with the colors... A wunderful place at the end of the world...

Back

to the west, where Bulusan volcano can be seen in the distance (above), to the islands (below to the left), just through the coconut trees to the sea (below) ...

The hut above the water is a bit shakey, but it still stands, like the coconut tree, where wunderfully refreshing coconuts are waiting. From the landing, you have a good view to barrio Urdaneta.

A walk along the coral beach at the western shore of the bay. The water is flat, as the stones lying in the water show, but the ground is somewhat sharp.

The bay from the monastery roof of the SMAHE on the eastern shore of the bay. A wonderful place the brothers and sisters have found to do the work of the Lord - and naturally a wonderful place for a monastery visit of the other kind...
